De Carlini Candycane Italian
Glass Christmas Ornament
First up, you'll want to decorate your Christmas tree. Gingerbread tree ornaments are one of the most common Christmas tree decorations on the market, so there's a tonne of them to choose from, from classic gingerbread men to hanging gingerbread housesHere's one shaped like a dog that I love, too - and it can be personalised. Pick your favorites and go wild!

Of course, if you want some ornaments with a really personal look and feel, and that smell exactly like gingerbread...why not make your own, out of gingerbread? Check out this amazing video tutorial on how to make your very own gingerbread men ornaments. They don't go off either - I made some when I was six years old and my parents still hang it on their tree more than 15 years later. Not to mention how unbelievably cute they are!

Kurt Adler 10-Light Gingerbread Light Set
Check out these gingerbread man themed string lights too - a great alternative to boring regular lights if you really want to go all out. Stocking Kit: Gingerbread House
Now that you have your tree set up, Santa needs to know where to leave your gingerbread themed goodies come Christmas eve. As well as milk and cookies, why not also leave a cute gingerbread stocking hanging above the fireplace for Father Christmas to admire? The one on the left is particularly special as you make and personalize it yourself.

So those are my favorite gingerbread themed decorations, but there's a tonne more available online and in the stores, so be sure to shop around until you find the ones that you fall in love with. Have a special gingerbread Christmas, and Happy Holidays!
Lenox 2015 Fa La La Fairy China Ornament
This is a follow up to my post on decorating your home for a Disney Princess Christmas, where we'll look at some of my favorite decorations featuring Peter Pan's Tinkerbell in all her Disney fairy glory. Fairies are a cute enough Christmas theme on their own, but when you combine that with the magic of Disney, you are sure to have something special. Plus, kids are sure to love it. Alright, lets start with decorating your tree!
To add a bit of magic to your Christmas tree, you'll need some cute Tinkerbell ornaments and baubles to hang from the branches. I love the little white ornament above, it is so cute and colorful, and the bright green bauble on the right is an easy way to add a lot of life and sparkle to an otherwise dull Christmas tree. I love the outfit Tinkerbell is wearing too, it's so adorable!

Below is another set of ornaments that I love to bits, featuring Tinkerbell in various poses and even sitting in a pretty little Christmas wreath. These three ornament and bauble sets go really well together color scheme-wise, so why not collect them all and deck out your tree into a Disney Fairy extravaganza?

Here's a really cute idea that kids are sure to love - a pretty green Tinkerbell door hanger with a soft and beautiful ribbon accent. This can go anywhere from the front door to your daughter's bedroom door handle. Its so cute!

Finally, every child (and grown-ups too!) needs a stocking to hang above the fireplace so that Santa knows where to put all the cute fairy treats and mini-gifts he's leaving for you to discover on Christmas morning. So why not pick up a sweet and soft Tinkerbell stocking? Here's a really cute and roomy one in a bold shade of purple that you are sure to love, with an elegant satin cuff to hang it up by.

So those are my favorite Disney Fairy Tinkerbell decorating ideas. If you liked this post, be sure to check out the rest of this site for most adorable themed Christmas decorating ideas to give your home that special something this holiday season.

The picture above has given me some inspiration for a themed Christmas tree - what if you could decorate your tree to look just like Father Christmas? Wouldn't that be a treat? This post is going to look at how to go about it. First up, you need the tree itself. To avoid having to wrap up a green tree in fabric like the above picture does, you could pick up an artificial red tree to use instead. Alternatively, you could use a tonne of red tinsel.
Santa Claus Head Craftsmen
Christmas Tree Topper

After that, you'll need Santa's head to sit atop his body- I mean the tree. I've included a cute Santa topper on the right that you can use - it even comes with a snowman topper that you can use if you ever want to try out a snowman themed tree - I have a post on making one of those too! An alternative is to have one of these cute Santa hat toppers as the crown of your tree.

Next up you'll need some white or silver tinsel to wrap around the bottom of the tree as the hem of Santa's suit. A cute and fluffy idea is to use a white feather boa instead, such as this six foot long white boa which is sure to fit around the base of most trees. Finally, finish off the tree with a belt around the middle to keep the suit together! This is a hard one since they don't exactly make tree sized belts, but if you tie or stitch some of your old belts together and have the one with the biggest buckle at the front, that should work great. If you want to be extra cute, why not hang a pair of shoes from the underside of the tree?

Here's a cute and funky but also classic look for a Christmas tree: the jolly snowman. Now when I say snowman themed Christmas tree, I don't mean a boring old tree covered in themed ornaments. Instead, we're going to make a snowman out of a tree, like the one above!
'Twas the Night Glittered Snowman
Head Red Hat Christmas Tree Topper

First up, you'll need an artificial white tree: here's a popular and reliable one. Once you have that, you need the snowman's head to go on the top as a tree topper. You've got two options here: you can either buy yours pre-made, and if you want to do that check out the cute head on the right, or you can make one from scratch. If you make one, be sure to check out this great blog post on how to make an amazing snowman head.  So that the topper blends in with the tree, next you want a cute red scarf to wrap around it's 'neck'. Here's a great one to check out.

Second, you'll need a set of black baubles to act as the snowman's 'buttons', which you will hang in a vertical line down the front of the tree as shown in the picture above.

Next up, either buy or make some branches to act as the snowman's arms. You can either add silver paint to branches you find outside if you live in an area with lots of nice trees, or you can pick up some pre-painted branches online and cut them to whatever size you like.

And there you have it, the basics for a snowman themed tree. If you want to go further, you can add lights, maybe a bit of silver tinsel or some cute snowflake ornaments, but remember not to go overboard. The beauty of this tree theme lies in its simplicity - if you overload it with too much stuff, it may look tacky and overdone. Otherwise, have fun with your very own snowman tree, and Merry Christmas!
Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Ornament Set -- 7-Pc. Set
Here's a really fun idea for a themed Christmas style for your home - Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. This is especially fun as you can re-use a lot of these ideas for decorating your home for Halloween - it's not cheating, honest! Kids and adults alike love this iconic movie and there's tonnes of decorations you can choose to transform your home into a spooky winter wonderland that all the family will adore.

Disney's Jack Skellington Ball Ornament

Nightmare Before Christmas Baubles

First up, every Halloween Town home will need a themed Christmas tree to provide the centerpiece for the look. There's lots of amazing character baubles you can use to decorate your tree, from the sweet seven pieced set above to the cartoony faces of Jack Skellington on the right. these Baubles are all quite dark in their color scheme, so contrast with a lighter colored tree and tinsel - maybe even a brightly colored artificial tree in deep red or another Gothic color. A black tree can also work very well if you use decorations with the bolder, brighter colors. That way your decorations will stand out a mile away!

Hinged Sally Ornament

Next up, you'll want to add some adorable ornaments to match your beautiful baubles. My favorite ornaments are a set including the gorgeous Sally ornament on the left, also containing an amazing Jack Skellington ornament. They have hinges in the limbs which mean they move like like little puppets, which I think is really cute. If you are looking for all the characters in ornament form, here are The Mayor and Oogie Boogie too! There's also a cute seven piece set featuring Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, Shock, Lock, Barrell, and Oogie Boogie available here, if you are looking for some fun variety.

For something a little more unique and original, here are some very pretty and cool black and white striped Jack Skellington hanging bows you can add to the mix.
